and looks forward to getting to play more than
one series of wiffleball in 2009. Mike was limited
to 2 games last year thanks working a third shift job.
Mike will join cousins Nate and Dan Musser, Matt
Sirpenski, J.J. Savage and Gabe Ravizza in a line-up
that will look to give pitchers some problems in 2009.
Mike finished 2008 batting 10-16 with 6 HR's and
12 RBI's in very limited playing time. Reporting live

Contender Team Osga set to take trophy in 2009 .
Team Osga is set to take the playoffs by storm this year. After taking the first game of a three game set with the eventual champion Young Gunz, the Osgas fell short in games two and three due to lack of pitching depth (It is noted that the Osgas were the only team to take a game from the young gunz in the playoffs) The osgas have to be considered the favorite for the 09 season for several reasons. They were the only team that gave the young gunz a battle in the playoffs, and rumors have it that GM Jay Osga has signed SP Roger Clemens to a 1 year deal worth 22 million. Clemens demanded helicopter rides to the games and only would pitch on days that he felt like it. Osga agreed and said it would be worth it to win the Championship in 09. Also it is rumored that Osga has been working on his pitching and is now throwing pitches at an unhittable 15 miles per hour. He was quoted as saying, " Watch out Dow, I am taking the Cy Young Award in 09." So for all of these reasons the Osgas have to be a contender in 2009. Reporting Live in Voluntown, CT.. Dan Musser
Gabe Ravizza set to join Warriors for 2009.
Gabe Ravizza is making a comeback to Prowiffleball and has agreed to join the Warriors. After a season off Gabe is looking forward to getting back to PWB. Ravizza will join Nate & Dan Musser, Matt Sirpenski, and J.J. Savage in a line-up that could give some pitchers problems. It has been a busy offseason forthe Warriors who have added Sirpenski, Savage, andRavizza, and changed their team name from the Competitorsto the Warriors. The Warriors cant wait for the seasonto start and will look to bounce back from the 2008 Semi-final loss to the D'backs. Red Rockets Set For Comeback to PWB

Young Gunz eager to defend title.
GRISWOLD- 3/02/09 - After winning it all in 2008 the Young Gunz are ready to defend their title of PWB Champions. After losing OF Matt Sirpenski to the Warriors the Young Gunz will look to add a player or two. Joey Policarpo has been busy this off season traveling around the state talking to highly scouted wiffleball players. The Gunz are currently in talks with free agent Jake Philipp, and it seems that talks have ended with Cody Southworth. It also seems that the Gunz have made offers to currently retired former teammates Rob Foisey and Jake Policarpo. With Josh Dow and Ryan Daugherty coming back as one of the best 1-2 punches in any pitching rotation in PWB the Gunz will have an excellent chance to go become the first team in PWB history to win back to back titles. Team Tyson Looking Forward to 2009
GREENVILLE 2-26-09- With one season under their belt Team Tyson is looking forward to starting their second season in the league. Team Tyson was a very dedicated team in 2008 showing up early every week to prepare for their games. Hans Puetz has been working hard in the offseason on his pitching and looks to improve on his (1-9) record and 13.89 ERA that he had in his rookie season. When contacted for questions, team manager Tyson Puetz stated he is looking forward to the 2009 season so that his team can show a lot of improvement. Outfielder Joe Fowler looks to have a bounce back year after a injury plagued season which limited him to only twenty-six at bats. Pitcher/Outfielder Robert Stratton will look to continue his sucess getting on base, leading his team in runs (20) and second in walks (19). Also, you could see more of Patrick Churchill on the mound for Team Tyson as he led the squad in 2008 with a record of (2-2). Look for Team Tyson to come back improved and stronger in 2009 with a new name and new results. SIRPENSKI STUNS GUNZ, RE-JOINS COMPETITORSCOMPETITORS PROMISE NOT TO PLAY PLAYOFFS WITHOUT HIM.
2/20/09- New Team Name to Come for Competitors.
VOLUNTOWN- 2007 Silver Slugger, 2 time golden hands winner Matt Sirpenski has rejoined the Competitors for the 2009 Season. Jay Osga suspected in Steroid investigation. 2-20-09 VOLUNTOWN- Jason Osga recently has been under heavy investigation for steroid use in the 2003 Prowiffleball season where he hit a record 42 HR's and drove in 125 runs. His records will be removed from the record book until further investigation is done. It is currently unclear weather or not Jason and the Real OsGa's will be back for the 2009 season yet. A few managers were contacted and would be sad to see the pitching of Jay Osga not return for another year.
Young Gunz in talks with Jake Philipp and Cody Southworth.
VOLUNTOWN 1/29/09: The 2008 Prowiffleball Champions are currently in talks with former Competitors players Jake Philipp and Cody Southworth. Sources say that the two sides are close to working out a deal that would bring 2 more good bats to the already tough Young Gunz line-up. With the addition of Jake and Cody does this mean lefty Nick Dydo is out of the mix? While Commissioner/Competitors manager Nate Musser said he loved having Jake and Cody on the Competitors, they didn't show up to the games when it counted the most. We'll just have to wait and see what happens in 2009. - Prowiffleball Commissioner Nate Musser Savage Signs With Competitors.

The Competitors signed Savage to help bolster their rotation which includes 2008 Most Improved Player Dan Musser and also 2008 MVP candidate Nate Musser. It is unknown whether or not Competitors veteran Matt Musser will be back for another or year because he is recovering from off season knee surgery. In 2008 JJ Savage was (4-2) with a 3.03 ERA. Savage struck out 67 batters in only 31 2/3 innings. Rumors are swirling that the Competitors are also currently in negitions with a couple other free agents that cant be named at this time.
